Who May Use the Library
Stamford Community Library serves all the resident of Stamford, as well as those in neighboring towns, free of charge.
Check-out Periods for Library Materials
Anyone with a library card may check out library materials for a period of two weeks if the material has not been placed on reserve for someone else.
New DVDs may be borrowed for one week with a maximum of two DVDs per patron.
Donations to the Library
Stamford Community Library accepts donations of recent books,recorded books, CDs and DVDs. All donations should be clean and in good condition. We don't accept old news magazine, textbooks or encyclopedias.
All donations immediately become the property of the library. Some will be added to our collection. The rest will find a home on our "Take a Book" carousel in the library or will be sold in our book sales. Donations added to the collection may be withdrawn when they are worn.
If you need a receipt for tax purposes, we will provide one. We cannot, however, assign a dollar value to your donation.
